About Joseph Binning
JOSEPH L BINNING, PRESIDENT.

Prior to founding MEPCor, Joseph L Binning worked in the Building Information Modeling industry for one the nation's largest electrical contractors, located in San Diego, California, as a General Foreman, detailer/installation coordinator/designer.

Binning began his association with them as a Journeyman Electrician, eventually being promoted to Foreman and General Foreman. Years later he was asked to join the design coordination team because of his experience, pre-planning, and organizational skills. Binning attended local college classes to attain basic Computer Assisted Drafting skills and progressed into 3D coordination as the market grew in that direction. He has worked in it ever since. Binning was the first coordinator to use 3D at this company, who now six years later boasts of 26 detailers, most coordinating in 3D, throughout the country at various offices. Binning helped establish many of the means and methods there and is highly respected in his field. At the suggestion of some of his peers, Binning established MEPCor.

Prior to that, he worked for the nation's seventh largest electrical contractor, also located in San Diego, California, as a General Foreman and Journeyman Electrician. Binning has worked for both companies twice each, totaling 16 years. And before that he worked as a General Foreman and Journeyman Electrician for various companies.

Binning was certified as a Journeyman Electrician, in the state of Arizona, in 1978 and has worked in the construction industry consistently throughout the years. Binning has built and designed notable projects since entering into the construction industry. Including: Hospitals, Universities, High School and Elementary Schools, High Rise Office Buildings, High Rise Condominiums, Sporting Stadiums, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Government and Military Projects, Bio-Medical facilities, Manufacturing Plants, Prisons, Shopping Malls, Department Stores, Bank Buildings, Church’s, Caltrans Projects, and Movie Theaters — just to name a few. He has primarily worked in the commercial construction field in his 32 years of experience to date. Binning's association with both companies, coupled with his years of experience, and has given him an extensive background in producing innovative construction services and products to and for large companies as well as small to medium companies.
